ARCHES Alumni Coordinator

The ARCHES Alumni Academy for Advancement (4A’s) Alumni Coordinator is responsible for recruiting ARCHES alumni, co-facilitating training, maintaining and documenting alumni database, confirming training attendees, training venues as well as assisting with event planning. The Alumni Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager to identify and assess training needs, recruitment strategies, creating and tracking program assessments as well as assisting with the selection of the 4A’s leadership council. Community Connections for Youth’s (CCFY) 4A’s program is a pilot with the goal of becoming a thriving and growing department. CCFY is also working on national initiatives facilitating system community partnerships and building community capacity to create effective community driven alternatives to incarceration.

  • Can work 18 hours per week
  • Attend all leadership council training and meetings
  • Provide support for the 4A’s leadership council members
  • Provide strong mentorship for youth
  • Ability to listen well to youth
  • Interest in building strong relationships with system-involved youth
  • Assist with the recruitment of ARCHES alumni
  • Co-facilitate training and presentations as needed
  • Conduct interviews to identify ARCHES leadership council as needed
  • Ensure all training rooms / venues, equipment, catering arrangements, and other requirements are booked up or canceled in advance
  • Assist in the creation and design of brochures and flyers
  • Compile training support materials as needed
  • Manage, prep, set-up, and break-down of training events
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manager about curriculum choices and suggest modifications
  • Record all training attendance & keep track of MetroCard distribution
  • Provide support for the 4A’s leadership council members
  • Keep track of 4A’s leadership council member files
  • Generate training certificates for graduates of the ARCHES Alumni Academy for Advancement
  • Provide general admin assistance and support for the Project Manager
  • Other duties as assigned
  • ARCHES program mentorship experience preferred
  • Strong ability to work with system-involved youth
  • Strong ability to support Project Manager execute program
  • Highly organized, punctual and reliable individual who is flexible and has the ability to travel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Computer skills:  experience using Power Point, Word, and Excel preferred but not required

This is a part-time position of 18 hours per week with a $15 per hour rate.
