CCFY believes that equipping local community organizations to work effectively with youth in the juvenile justice
system is the key to sustainable reform. CCFY provides the following training and technical assistance services:
ATI Training Institute
Community Connections for Youth offers a 3-day intensive training
institute that brings key stakeholders together to develop a basic framework for understanding the keys to effective
alternative-to-incarceration programming for youth in the juvenile justice system. Participants learn principles of
effective service delivery and develop plans for program implementation. For more information

ATI Training Toolkit
Community Connections for Youth provides organizations with a complete starter kit of forms
and documents essential to tracking outcomes for court-involved youth. Forms include intake and assessment
templates, court reporting templates, and methods to track participation, attendance, and achievement of goals.
Capacity Building Institute
CCFY's Capacity Building Institute is a project to assist grassroots faith and community
organizations with developing the organizational management capacity
needed to grow strong programs and be competitive for funding. Over a 6-month period,
the Institute meets for workshops on the following topics:
Governance & Board Development
Financial Management
Employee Management & HR Issues
Fundraising & Development
Strategic Planning
Program Evaluation
In addition to monthly workshops, an expert consultant
develops a strategic plan with each participant and provides
follow-up 1-on-1 technical assistance each month.
Customized Training & Technical Assistance
CCFY provides specific trainings on
effective juvenile justice practices (risk and need assessments, case management, court advocacy), program
development (mentoring, peer leadership, anger management), and organizational development (outcome tracking,
fundraising). Trainings are customized for the unique needs of sites serving court-involved youth.
