Bianca Shaw

Training Project Manager

Inspired by people who have fought for liberation for themselves and others – Bianca is committed to juvenile justice reform as a means of healing communities, and giving power back to the youth, families and communities that have been impacted by unjust systems. Prior to becoming CCFY’s Training Project Manager, Bianca worked as a case manager and anti-oppressive organizer, mobilizing formerly homeless older adults living with mental illness, to shift policies and practice in supportive housing. In 2016, after receiving her MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, Bianca joined the CCFY team and supports the Transformative Mentoring Initiatives for ARCHES and NextSTEPS programs throughout NYC. Born and raised in the Bronx, Bianca enjoys traveling, reading radical Black women literature, and living at the intersection of hip-hop culture, queerness and feminism.
