    Board Chair

    Hernán Carvente Martínez is CCFY’s Board Chair. Hernán is the Founder & CEO of Healing Ninjas, Inc. a health and wellness company using tech to build and deepen community between people on their respective healing journeys. He is a Chicano social entrepreneur, community organizer, and leader in the fight to end youth incarceration.

  • Antony Bugg-Levine

    Board Treasurer

    Antony Bugg-Levine is the Board Treasurer at Community Connections for Youth and chair of the board’s Finance Committee. Antony is the Managing Director and Co-Head of Community Impact at Lafayette Square, with a focus on developing partnerships and impactful services that drive change for communities served by the firm.

  • Michelle Díaz

    Board Secretary

    Michelle A. Díaz is the Board Secretary for Community Connections for Youth. Michelle is the Director of Projects with National Crittenton. She is a member of the New York State Juvenile Justice Advisory Group and of the Office of the Ombudsman. Ms. Diaz’s goal is to ensure that youth are treated fairly; avoiding further contact with the justice system, and receiving all the support and opportunities they need to be successful.

  • Chanabelle Arriaga

    Board Member

    Chanabelle Arriaga is a Board Member with Community Connections for Youth. Chanabelle is the founder of In-Serenity, a community of Love, Hope and Inspiration. Chanabelle is a motivator, author, strategist and advocate for veterans, the less fortunate, youth, teen moms and women.

  • Trey Billings

    Board Member

    Trey Billings is a founding Board Member of Community Connections for Youth where he chairs the Audit Committee. Trey is the founder of Freudigman & Billings, a private tutoring firm dedicated to providing educational and learning solutions for elementary, middle and high school students.

  • Mishi Faruqee

    Board Member

    Mishi Faruqee is a founding board member of Community Connections for Youth. She is currently the Director of the Andrus Family Fund, a NYC-based foundation that supports the self-determination, power and liberation of Black, Brown and Indigenous youth impacted by youth justice, child welfare and other disruptive systems.
